WE JUST RECENTLY GOT THIS PRETTY RARE CLASSIC PIECE OF AMERICANA AND AUTOMOTIVE MEMORABILIA AND IT'S A PRETTY ONE. THIS STARTED OUT LIFE AS A 1970 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T CONVERTIBLE AND THERE WERE LESS THAN 1,200 IN TOTAL PRODUCED ACCORDING TO WHAT THE OWNER AND I HAVE FOUND. I'M LIMITED TO HOW MUCH INFORMATION I CAN PUT ABOUT THE CAR ON HERE SO ANYONE INTERESTED IS ENCOURAGED TO CALL AND WE HAVE MORE PHOTOS SPECS AND INFO ETC... AVAILABLE TO ANY REAL INTERESTED BUYERS. SO I AM PUTTING AS MUCH SPECS WHICH IS WHAT MATTERS MOST BUT SERIOUS BUYERS PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL. FIRST OFF, THIS IS A SOCO/ARIZONA RESTORATION AND HAS THE FACTORY 383 MAGNUM WITH A 4-SPEED CONVERTIBLE WITH THE HEMI ORANGE EXTERIOR AND BLACK WITH ORANGE PIPING ON THE INSIDE. IT WAS DRIVEN/RACED IN SOCO UNTIL 1980 OR SO TIL DAVE, THE OWNER, BROUGHT IT TO PHOENIX AND SOLD TO A GENTLEMAN NAMED TODD V WHO THEN SOLD IT TO THE CURRENT OWNER IN 1982 AND HE OWNS IT NOW AND HAS SINCE THAT YEAR.

THE CHALLENGER DIDN'T HAVE THE MOTOR, TRANNY, OR REAR END THEN. IT HAD A 440 AND HEMI 4SPD WITH A DANA 60 REAR END. IN 2004/05 THE RESTOMOD PROJECT ON THIS CAR STARTED AND IRONICALLY WAS COMPLETED WHEN THE NEW SRT CHALLENGERS BEGAN TO HIT THE DEALERSHIPS IN 2008 AND BECAUSE THE OWNER HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ORIGINAL PIECE AND KNEW THERE WEREN'T ANY 383 MAGNUM CARS BESIDES A FEW LATE 60'S A- BODIES THAT WERE QUICK ENOUGH FOR HIS TASTE HE MOVED FORWARD AND DID THE HOT-ROD OVER THE FULLY RESTORED OPTION.

ONCE THE CAR WAS DECONSTRUCTED IT WAS TAKEN TO REDI-STRIP IN TEMPE, AZ THEN TO MIRROR IMAGE IN GLENDALE. DURING THIS THE OWNER GOT A LITTLE SUPPORT SPECIFIC TO THE CAR BEING A DRAG RACER IN THE 1970'S!! SOME DAMAGE TO THE TUNNEL OVER BELLHOUSING AND REAR END HOUSING WHERE EXPLOSIONS HAD HAPPENED WITH WHAT HE ASSUMED TO BE THE ORIGINAL COMPONENTS. THE UPGRADE OF THE DANA 60 AND THE ANSEN "BLOW-PROOF" BELLHOUSING FOR THE HEMI 4SPD FURTHER SUPPORTED THIS THOUGHT.

THE OWNER TOOK THE ENGINE AND RELATED PARTS TO NHRA RECORD HOLDING ENGINE GURU "DENNIS MAURE' IN AND OF TEMPE. AS FOR THE DANA AND HEMI THEY WENT TO AZ GEAR REPAIR. MIRROR IMAGE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR IMPROVING ON ORGINAL OFFERING WITH A TIED SUB-FRAME, BLOCKS WELDED INTO 2 WEAK AREAS ABOVE DECKLID WHERE CONVERTIBLE BIG BLOCKS WOULD CRACK. ALSO OPENING UP THE REAR FENDERS JUST ENOUGH TO ADD BIGGER TIRES THAN ANY STOCK MOPAR MUSCLE CAR COULD ACCOMODATE. THIS BODY IS STRAIGHT AS THEY COME!!! ENGINE= PUTS OUT 510 HORSES AND 600FT LBS OF POWER TO THE STREET AND HAS A 471"B MOTOR-ALUMINUM STAGE 6 MOPAR HEADS WITH A CRANE ROLLER AND 1.6 ROCKERS- HUGHES .600'HYD CAM WITH STRAIGHT CUT GEAR DRIVE- EAGLE BILLET RODS AND FORGED STROKER CRANK, BILLET MAIN CAPS W/STUDS AND ROSS FORGED 10.5 COMP PISTONS WITH TOTAL SEAL RINGS- JET HOT COATED VICTOR N02 INTAKE WITH HOLLEY 950DP- JET HOT COATED HOOKER 2INCH HEADERS- MSD DIG 6 BOX WITH MSD BILLET DISTR (W/1 RACE AND 1 STREET COIL). INTAKE SENT TO SOCO FOR DIRECT INJECTION N02 SYSTEM. INJECTORS HAVE NEVER HAD THE PILLS INSTALLED, THE NOS TANKS HAVE NEVER BEEN FILLED AND THE DEDICATED FUEL PUMP HAS NEVER BEEN OPERATED.

IT'S A HOLY CRAP TYPE OF CAR WITHOUT NOS. COOLING/LUBRICATION-HEMI PAN WITH DUAL REMOTE FILTERS 15/50 SYNTHETIC SINCE NEW MOTOR. HIGH LOW/VOLUME WATER PUMP WITH ALUM BILLET PULLY SYSTEM/BRACKETS WITH SILICONE HOSES AND RON DAVIS CUST RADIATOR W/TWIN ELEC FANS. EXHAUST - AFTER THE 2INCH COATED HOOKERS THE 3.5INCH COLLECTS INTO 2 ELECTRICAL CUT OUTS BEFORE MOVING INTO THE 3.5 INCH PIPES AND X-PIPE BEFORE HITTING LOOPING OVER THE REAR WHERE THEY ARE DOWN TO 3 INCH AND INTO 3 INCH ROUND MUFFLERS AND FACT LOOKING TIPS TRANNY- BEEFY HEMI 4 SPD MATED TO A CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH, BILLET FLYWHEEL AND "BULLET-PROOF" BELLHOUSING REAR END- DANA 60 MADE BETTER WITHA DETROIT LOCKER, BILLET AXELS AND A SET OF 4.10 GEARS COVERED BY A TA ALUMINUM STUD GIRDLE. BETWEEN THE DANA AND HEMI IS A NASCAR CHOME MOLY DRIVESHAFT AND SPICER U-JOINTS. JUST NOTICED I CAN'T FIT ANYMORE AND THERE'S MORE INFO LIKE THE SMALL DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH MOPAR SPEC SHOP IN BUCKEYE AZ RESTOS BY ROB PUT A NOW $2,800 GRILLE ON AND FRENCH STYLE INTERIOR STICHING WITH COATED FROM LIZARD SKIN HOOD ALL FOR BARRETT JACKSON BUT NOT TO BE .               MARKETING AGREEMENT FOR National Vehicle Registry 

               

              We at National Vehicle Registry assist the customer in marketing their vehicle by utilizing various auction sites, social media platforms, and search engine optimization.  

               

              CONDITIONS OF USE: 

              Welcome to National Vehicle Registry  where we provide website features, products, and services to market your vehicle (s) or machinery or aircraft or boat etc.... until sold.  

               

              RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER:

              Taxes, registration, transportation, shipping, fuel costs, and inspection of the vehicles.  

               

              RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELLER:

              Payments are arranged between the seller and their financial institution along with inspection of the vehicle (s).  In addition to this, any seller of an item on this website has the choice to put a hidden reserve or in other words Bottom Dollar, on whatever item or items they're auctioning with National Vehicle Registry  therefore any person or persons who have the highest bid at the end of the auction period, does not mean that they have won the item or items being auctioned if it does not hit the reserve and is too far away and the seller chooses to run the auction again or just chooses not to sell what they are auctioning. That choice is theres to make and the buyer will be notified within 48hrs of the end of the auction and they're the highest bidder.

               

              REFUND/RETURN POLICY:

              All advertising and marketing packages have a 30 day duration from the day that customer signs up with Buyers World. 

              National Vehicle Registry does not guarantee a sale of any vehicle.  Cancellations are allowed within 72 hours and will be assessed a 25% administration fee.  Any customer or client of National Vehicle Registry becomes a client when they are sent their receipt for services. Also known as REGISTRATION FEE for us to market and advertise what you are selling. The 72 hours starts when you are emailed the receipt for that fee. You will have a specific customer ID number that is only for you and is assigned to what you are advertising with us.  and very important to note, we spend a lot of money at the BEGINNING of marketing what it is you're trying to sell so we do not work with a contract and that is for our clients benefit so if you happen to get a buyer who sees your item or you find a buyer outside of our network then you can feel free to sell it to whomever and whenever you would like with no penalty or anything like that. All we ask is that you tell us it's sold so we can remove it from the sites we have it listed on but there is NO REFUND POLICY IN EFFECT past the 72hrs like explained above so if you're lucky enough to get it sold from a neighbor or something like that, the registration fee you paid National Vehicle Registry has been spent on marketing efforts already so if you sell it in 9 days and decide to accept that offer from someone you cannot ask for any sort of refund from National Vehicle Registry. That is clear and does not differ under any circumstance. You can keep it with us to get a better offer or accept the one you have somewhere else that is your decision but no refunds are given past the 72hrs.
